Thank you for visiting the website (“Site”) of BeddingandBathStore.com (“BBS”). We have created this privacy statement (“Privacy Statement”) so that you can understand how BBS handles information that is submitted to or otherwise gathered in connection with your visits to and use of the Site (collectively, the “Information”). By using the Site, clicking the “Submit” buttons on our forms and/or accessing any of BBS’s services, you consent to the terms and conditions contained in this Privacy Statement. Information Collection and Use
As part of your use of the Site, you may submit, or BBS may otherwise obtain, certain information from or relating to you (“Information”). BBS also receives Information from its visitors that does not constitute Personal Information, such as cookie information which will collect data anonymously and track user patterns on the Site. As part of the provision of goods and services to you, and in connection with BBS’s and its Affiliates’ marketing and promotional efforts, third parties may have access to your Information. For example, BBS and its Affiliates may utilize third-party hosting, network and service providers (each of which may have its own vendors and contractors who may have access to Information).
BBS and its Affiliates may transfer your Information in the event that BBS, its Affiliates and/or their respective assets are acquired by or merged with or into one or more other companies in one or more related or unrelated transactions.
Access to your Personal Information
You may request to view your Personal Information in BBS’s and its Affiliates’ records at any time and may update your Personal Information by contacting us by email. You may also contact us to request removal of your Personal Information from the records of BBS and its Affiliates. In addition, you always have the option to tell us not to send you information about other services of BBS and its Affiliates.
How Long We Keep the Information
Subject to your right to request the removal of your Personal Information from the databases of BBS and its Affiliates, BBS and its Affiliates will have the right to store and utilize your Information in perpetuity.
Protecting Children
BBS is committed to protecting the privacy of children. BBS does not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifiable information online from children under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. If BBS learns that a child under the age of 13 has submitted personally identifiable information online it will take all reasonable measures to delete such information from its databases and to not use such information for any purpose (except where necessary to protect the safety of the child or others as required by law).
Opt-out Email/Circulars Policy
We ask that you tell us when you do not wish to receive periodic emails and/or circulars from us. We will only send email for customer service purposes and to those visitors who have indicated that they wish to receive other types of email from us. If at any time you wish to stop receiving email and circulars from us, you can always remove your name from our mailing list by sending an email to us stating that you wish to unsubscribe.
Security of the Information You Provide
We use commercially reasonable efforts to keep your Information secure. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt your Personal Information before it is transmitted to us. You can tell you are sending Personal Information securely by the unbroken key icon or closed lock icon that should appear at the bottom of your internet browser’s window (depending on what browser you use). These icons will appear when you are placing an order on our Site. In addition, you will see our Site address changes slightly, from http:// to https:// indicating a secure server connection is being used. The computers that store your Information are located in a separate facility which employs certain firewall and other security technology.
Modifications to this Privacy Statement
This Privacy Statement is effective as of October 1, 2006. We may make revisions to this Privacy Statement from time to time (“Revisions”). The Revisions shall be effective upon (i) their posting to the Site, and (ii) a posting of a notification on the home page of the Site stating that the Privacy Statement has changed, which shall remain on the home page for a minimum period of one (1) week from the date that the Revisions are posted. You are responsible for visiting the Site periodically to review the Revisions. You agree that you shall be deemed to be apprised of and bound by such Revisions.
